The Power

They thought silence would protect them.

But every unanswered email, every ignored warning, every delay, only handed me more power.

Here’s what they left behind.

Written. Ignored. Broken

Written in Pain, Ignored in Silence

I wrote this to Joshua on August 31st, 2023. At that point, I had lost my job, my stability, my mental health coverage, and almost my will to keep going.

This was my final attempt to close the chapter quietly. I asked for repayment again. Still believing in him, I asked for peace. But he ignored it once again.

Sexual Harassment

Boundaries Violated Beyond Employment

After blacklisting me for resigning to prioritize my mental health in 2021, a former direct supervisor initiated an inappropriate and unwelcome sexual conversation during a private call, exploiting the lingering imbalance of power.

Leadership took no action when this behavior was reported, reinforcing a culture where exploitation was tolerated rather than condemned.

Instead of accountability, he was later rehired by Toronto Marriott Markham and promoted.

Repeated Dismissals

Evidence Ignored; Misconduct Rewarded

Throughout 2024 and 2025, I submitted extensive documented evidence detailing financial misconduct, professional abuse, and violations by Joshua Fernandes.

Instead of acknowledging the record or pursuing accountability, corporate leadership including Mary Haynes and Rena Reiss— repeatedly dismissed my submissions, minimizing the evidence and refusing meaningful action.

During this same period, Joshua Fernandes was not disciplined. He was relocated and promoted within the Marriott network, reinforcing a culture where those responsible for harm were protected and rewarded, while those who spoke up were silenced.

To make matters worse, Marriott escalated the situation by sending corporate legal counsel Jonathan L. Dye. Not to investigate or resolve, but to intimidate. His involvement signals that silencing the truth takes priority over addressing it.

The Lies Filed Under Oath

How He Almost Got Away With It

If I had not fought back, Joshua Fernandes could have walked away with a false sworn statement on the record, claiming he repaid $10,000 without a single receipt, transfer, or message to back it up.

He framed my financial support as “gifts,” hoping the court would never see the truth. But I kept the records. I kept the texts, including the ones where he mentioned marriage, made promises, and discussed repayment.

The $10,000 he claims to have “paid” never happened. Not in full. Not in part. Not once.

A documented attempt to rewrite the past.
And he almost succeeded, until I exposed it.

The Lines They Cross

“You will regret doing these.”
— Babak Vosooghi, Legal Counsel to Joshua Fernandes

After I lawfully served a court motion supported by police documentation, Babak Vosooghi, a licensed Ontario lawyer, responded with this written threat.

When a man threatens a woman with consequences for speaking the truth, he confirms every reason she needed to speak.

They are violating boundaries, weaponizing the system, and fighting me for daring to pursue justice.
