I gave Marriott International loyalty and they answered with silence, blacklisting, and betrayal. It’s not just justice I am after: it’s the unraveling of a brand built on manipulation, erasure, and image over integrity.

Filed by Babak Vosooghi, counsel for Joshua Fernandes in Small Claims Court, the lawsuit seeks $100,000 in damages to punish me for speaking out and documenting abuse.

This is not about protecting reputation, but about silencing and exhausting me with legal threats, all while the real issues of abuse and financial harm remain unaddressed. The suit also relies on the fabricated claim that Joshua repaid $10,000, a story disproven by bank records and text messages.

Far from intimidated, I am working to dismiss Babak's claims under Ontario's anti-SLAPP law (s.137.1 CJA).

A formal criminal investigationhas been approved by York Regional Police naming Joshua Fernandes in a sexual assault investigation. The report details multiple incidents of coercion, non-consensual acts, and abuse of power within a workplace environment: sexual coercion during emotional vulnerability, physical violence disguised as intimacy, and repeatedly pressuring despite clear verbal and emotional resistance.

This was psychological, physical, and sexual abuse, all made worse by Marriott’s silence and continued protection of him.

A formal criminal report has been approved by Toronto Police, naming Joshua Fernandes and his lawyer, Babak Vosooghi, as suspects in an active investigation involving fraud, obstruction, and digital tampering.

Babak Vosooghi, Counsel of Record, is now implicated for aiding and abetting a fraudulent defense, obstructing justice, and issuing a written threat intended to intimidate me into silence after being lawfully served. Also started another lawsuit against me for defamation.

Status: Pending escalation to the Crown for prosecution review and awaiting Anti-SLAPP motion.

Marriott International has remained willfully silent. While Babak Vosooghi was hired by Joshua Fernandes, his actions, including filing a false defense and issuing a threatening email, cannot be separated from the corporate silence that enabled it.
Marriott International did not act when I raised concerns. When the harm escalated and evidence was submitted, they promoted Joshua Fernandes.
They opened the door to his next promotion while he weaponized the legal system, and they did nothing to stop it.
