The Cover-Up
Luxury could hide their names.
Polished titles, marble floors, and gilded brands could cloak their betrayals behind a veil of prestige.
But luxury could not erase what they did or what they chose to protect.
Hiren Prabhakar
Current Role: General Manager, St. Regis Toronto
Oversaw operations at Toronto Marriott Markham during critical periods of raised concerns and internal complaints. Following my resignation to prioritize my health, I was blacklisted from future employment opportunities within the Marriott network — a decision enforced during his leadership without due process, transparency, or accountability. Also failed to take action after I reported sexual harassment in 2021.

Christopher Bird
Current Role: Director of Operations, St. Regis Toronto

As a senior manager at Toronto Marriott Markham in 2021, he enforced hostile workplace dynamics and contributed to a climate of intimidation.

While working solo night shifts, I was monitored through security cameras and shown a screenshot of myself as a warning, not for misconduct, but because I was unable to complete overwhelming workloads without overtime. He weaponized surveillance to intimidate, violating workplace safety and harassment protections.

He later advised me to withdraw from a Sales role I was qualified for under false promises of advancement, only to deny my application again without fair process.

His actions reinforced a systemic pattern of manipulation, retaliation, and career obstruction within Marriott International.

Joshua Nazareth Fernandes
Current Role: Senior Rooms Operations Manager, Delta Hotels Prince Edward Island
Directly involved in financial, emotional, and professional misconduct that took place at Toronto Marriott Markham before relocating to Prince Edward Island. Currently the subject of active legal proceedings and a criminal fraud investigation.

As my direct manager in 2023, Joshua forced me into a 16-hour shift while I was visibly struggling, then denied medical accommodations even after official documentation was submitted. Instead of supporting me, he exploited my vulnerability, used me sexually in his office, and later punished me with a documented warning, while I was already undergoing medical treatment.

Despite confirmed employment, Delta Hotels Prince Edward Island refused to cooperate during lawful attempts to serve court documents in January 2025, reinforcing the broader corporate pattern of protectionism and evasion.

Jennifer Worden
Current Role: General Manager, Toronto Marriott Markham

Refused to meaningfully address formal concerns raised about Joshua Fernandes. Instead of offering support or fair process, she enabled retaliation, reinforcing a culture where vulnerability was punished and misconduct by others was protected.

Presided over blacklisting efforts and the internal dismissal of documented misconduct throughout 2024 and 2025, embedding a system of silence, retaliation, and protection over accountability.

Jack Hutchison
Current Role: Director of Operations, Toronto Marriott Markham

Actively participated in my termination process in 2023 without conducting any corrective action or investigation. Played a central role in enforcing the final severance without addressing unresolved complaints.

Despite being informed of Joshua Fernandes’ misconduct during and after my termination, he took no action, reinforcing the systemic protection of abusers over accountability.

Marriott International HQ — Corporate Oversight
Location: Bethesda, Maryland, USA

Received formal complaints, extensive evidence, and internal reports exposing misconduct at the property level throughout 2024 and January 2025.

Chose strategic silence, internal dismissal, and the protection of corporate interests over employee safety, ethical accountability, and legal responsibility. Instead of addressing the harm or investigating the evidence, they deployed corporate counsel in an attempt to silence and intimidate.

Despite mounting evidence, they continued to protect those responsible, actively advancing Joshua Fernandes’ career while blacklisting and retaliating against the employee who came forward.

In doing so, Marriott International reinforced a system where harm is rewarded, corruption is protected, and accountability is erased.
